Are you over filling the tank? I was just curious. Check the owner's manual to be sure it's not being over filled. After you fill-up, raise the bike slowly to it's riding position. If the fuel in my tank sloshes around too much it leaks from under the cap.
I also had the vibration in my speedometer at about 55 mph. If you find out what it is, please post it. Someone futher down the list said that it was a spring, and told how to take it apart and fix it. We have 1500 miles on our bike now, and our noise stopped at about 1000 miles. I think once the bike was broken in, the engine vibration smoothed out, fixing the problem. It still happens on occasion, but not as bad.
